About Sarah Nelson and Goose Chase Design

Sarah Nelson lives and works in Falmouth, where she graduated from Falmouth College of Arts in 2003 with a First Class Honours degree in Illustration.

On leaving college, Sarah set out as a commercial illustrator, but quickly realised a desire to pursue a more independent path and began to sell her work through local shops and galleries.

Based on the success of several exhibitions, Sarah took several brave leaps, and her network of suppliers is gradually developing throughout the UK.

Inspired by eccentric English homes, gardens, past times and traditions, Sarah's imagery captures and celebrates simple pleasures. She combines traditional drawing and printmaking methods with digital software to create delicate pieces that aim to cheer and delight.

Sarah works with a professional printer to provide high quality reproductions of her original works. The type of prints on show here are known as "Giclee" (pronounced "zhee-clay"), a name given to the process of making fine art prints from a digital source using ink-jet printing.

The Giclee printing process offers superior colour accuracy and longevity than other means of reproduction.
